Thank You For Supporting Our Giving Campaign!

We are grateful for the support from the many who gave to our 34th Anniversary Celebration Giving Campaign. Although we could not celebrate in person this year, many in the community were generous in their support to help us continue in our mission to provide shelter, hope and guidance to the women and children who seek our services. We strive to assist those who are in a difficult time, due to a variety of situations, to have a peaceful, restorative place to lay their head while they work to gain independence and a positive future.

The last two years have been very challenging to all of us. We appreciate your support always, but especially during these trying times. Due to the influx of monies in the community to support low income and at risk families, our population at the shelter has been at an all-time low, but those who have sought out shelter are needing more support. This low population has been a blessing to allow us to have additional time with them and to assist in a more personalized way to break down the barriers that have been a hindrance in sustaining affordable, permanent housing.

We are happy to report that our Giving Campaign raised over $10,000, which will go toward the overall operation of the shelter. Last year alone, 3,672 meals were served and 1,224 shelter units (one person, one night) were provided to 73 unduplicated women and children.

We look forward to next year’s Anniversary Celebration, tentatively scheduled for August 10^th, 2022, in hopes we can once again celebrate in person.
