Due to the generosity of so many, our 31st Anniversary Celebration was a great success! The funds raised will help to ensure that our shelter will be here to continue providing shelter, hope and guidance to hundreds of homeless and or abused women and children. It is hard to imagine a mother having to tolerate violence, sleep in a car with little children, live in an abandoned building or forced to walk the streets. While the reasons for homelessness are as varied as those who experience it, the challenges are still overwhelming. You have helped to change lives!
We are happy to report that our event raised over $13,700, which will go toward the overall operation of our shelter. Last year alone, 17,871 meals were served and 5,927 shelter units (one person, one night) have been provided for nearly 250 women and children.
We couldn’t do this without the support of the community!
