Due to COVID-19 we have noticed a decrease in the in-kind donations that we rely on the run the shelter. With the absence of gatherings and group meals we are not receiving prepared food donations and limited household supplies. For those that would like to donate while limiting your possible exposure to the virus, we encourage online shopping with delivery to the shelter at 328 W. Mckibben St. Lima, Ohio 45801 or donating gift cards so we can purchase what is needed most. We are still accepting donations in person as well. To limit exposure, you can call ahead (419.222.4663) and let us know that you are bringing in a donation. As always, we trust that all our needs will be met.  Thanks so much for remembering those in need during this time!

We have made changes to some of the items we regularly use to reduce the risk of exposure to the virus. We are switching from bulk packaged sharable items to individually packaged items. Also like everyone else, Samaritan House is experiencing a shortage of sanitation supplies and appreciate your consideration in donating any of the following  items:

  • Hand Sanitizer (On hand at Menard’s as of 5/26/20 #5718999 or #5755049)
  • Anti-Bacterial Cleaners
  • Isopropyl Alcohol
